Welcome to the 2025 Membership Meeting of the Hawai‘i Concert Society. Below are the details of the topics being presented at this meeting, as well as the election ballot, to be used only by those who either were HCS members during the 2024-25 season or are current members for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
On the election ballot, at the bottom of this webpage, members are asked to vote, using the VOTE link, on the following:

Approval of the minutes of the 2024 Membership meeting

Approval of the Treasurer’s Report for FY 2024-25

Approval of the slate of nominated board members
Voting will take place over a period of 14 days, beginning on August 15. Please note that if your membership is as a couple, family, or business entity, you are only entitled to one vote.
Members should have received in USPS mail by now a postcard with an access code that will allow them to vote. Members will vote on the VOTE page which you can access after entering your name and the access code that you were provided on the postcard.
In order for the membership meeting to be official, a quorum, equal to at least 10% of the sum of members during 2024-25 and members for 2025-26 at the time of this meeting, must vote. So please vote between August 15 and August 28 and encourage other members whom you know to do the same.
We will endeavor to quickly answer your questions and respond to comments and questions submitted via the Q&A Form, so you can take them into consideration before voting.

Minutes of the 2024 Annual Meeting
August 22 – Sepember 3, 2024
The annual meeting of the Hawai‘i Concert Society was held online between August 22, 2024 and September 3, 2024. Members who attended did so by viewing the annual meeting pages at hawaiiconcertsociety.com. All members were supplied a password on postcards to allow them to access the meeting pages and to vote. At the time of the annual meeting, the total membership (from 2023-24 and 2024-25) was 150. For an election to be binding, at least 10% of the membership (15) must vote.
The meeting pages contained a document of welcome from President Tom Geballe, the minutes of the 2023 annual meeting, a summary of the current status of the 2024-25 concert season (see below), the list of nominees for the board for the 2024-2025 season (see below), and the treasurer’s report for the financial year that ended on June 30, 2024 (see below), and an election page enabling online voting.
A total of 28 votes were recorded. The minutes of the 2023 membership meeting , the treasurer’s report, and the slate of board members for 2024-25 all passed unanimously.
The online portal was closed and the meeting effectively ended on September 3, 2024.

The 2024-2025 concert season has been finalized and consists of seven public concerts.
